Philippines Partnership
Citylight South Church proudly partners with Mark and Melissa Young, missionaries to the Philippines. The Youngs intentionally established both Bright Lights Learning Center and Kôz International, based in Manila.
Mark and Melissa Young have been faithfully serving in Manila, Philippines, since 2016. They have two children, Kharis and Jaxen, and a mini-schnauzer, Mozely.
The Youngs have a deep passion for ministering to the out-of-school youth and children living in extreme urban poverty and facing significant risks. Their holistic ministry approach integrates education as a powerful tool for evangelism and transformation, as they partner with the local church in Manila to raise up leaders and help plant churches in the area.

Bright Lights Learning Center
Through their organization, Bright Lights Learning Center, Mark and Melissa have spearheaded a comprehensive ministry that goes beyond academics. They provide quality education, discipleship, leadership development and essential medical and dental care to the vulnerable communities they serve. Additionally, they ensure daily nutritious meals for the students and offer vital encouragement, counseling and mentoring.
Under their dedicated leadership, Bright Lights Learning Center has experienced remarkable growth, expanding from 70 students to now impacting the lives of 356 young individuals. Mark and Melissa are committed to nurturing not just minds but also souls, fostering a generatioon empowered to break the cycle of poverty through knowledge and faith.
Kôz International
Mark and Melissa also co-founded Kôz International, a child sponsorship organization that bridges generous donors with students in need of support and encouragement. Kôz International plays a pivotal role as one of the primary funding partners of Bright Lights Learning Center, enabling the expansion of educational opportunities and comprehensive care for vulnerable youth.
